Guidelines for Authors

This guide is made to give an overview of the formalities concerning the publication of an article or review in the journal. When you contact the editorial team and your proposed article is considered for a possible publication we will send you an author’s contract, a more elaborate guideline and a layout-dummy to help you to hand in your contribution in the correct format. Additionally, a member of the editorial board will guide you through the process.

How to submit a paper

Authors interested in submitting an article please contact the editorial team: contact@anthrovision.eu. Describe your planned contribution and in which section (see above) you would like to publish it.

When you think of publishing a special issue with at least 6 articles, which will be peer-reviewed, please send us a list of the planned articles including author’s name, author’s e-mail, topic and abstract.

When we think your contribution is in line with the aims of the journal, we will send you a contract, the author’s guidelines, and a layout for the article. One member of the editorial board will guide you through the publishing process.

General Rules

The article must be sent to the editorial team and the coordinator by e-mail. The article, having an acceptable form (if the article is not written in your mother tongue make sure it was proofread before submitting), will be reviewed by two referees (researchers in closely related fields). Their comments are synthesised then sent to the author who must produce a revised version of his/her text within 4 to 6 weeks. If accepted by the coordinator, the article will be proofread again and finally sent to the editorial team for a last check. The executive committee gives final approval (or sends it back to the author for minor changes, or eventually rejection). Then it will be online which might require some additional changes.

General Agreement

The corresponding author, who has obtained the assent of all the other authors in case of co-authored contributions, confirms the assignment of all copyrights to the manuscript named when submitting the article in all forms, languages and media to EASA – European Association of Social Anthropologists, effective if and when the manuscript is accepted for publication in AnthroVision – The VANEASA online journal.

It will be the corresponding author's responsibility to double-check the article for accuracy prior to submitting it for publication, that the manuscript does not contain any material the publication of which would violate any copyright or other personal or proprietary right of any person or entity.

The corresponding author confirms that the authors have obtained and included with the manuscript written permission from any respective copyright owners for the use of any materials that have been previously published or are otherwise copyrighted and owned by third parties. The corresponding author agrees to the responsibility for paying any fees charged for permissions.

An article cannot be withdrawn after publication.

If the manuscript is not published in AnthroVision this agreement will not take effect.

We kindly request that all texts by non-native speakers (English, French, Spanish) shall be cross-checked by a native speaker prior to submission.

We kindly ask authors to apply the citation rules as explained below including the legends of tables and illustration.
