Le cheval et ses élevages : perspectives de recherche

Abstracts

Reviewing horse breeding in the traditional community in order to include it in the history of production, circulation, exchange, consumption and understanding of the relationships between use and representations, requires a critical analysis of the way in wich the history of the horse has been written, an inventory of the delays and lack of research, examination of archives while considering perspectives and issues of foreign historiography, the status of analytical methods to apply and topics needing reassessment.
