This volume aspires to draw on the wealth of the notion of «cultural transfer» as applied to the Hispanic world and in this way to open up new perspectives in cultural historiography. Commissioned from university academics working in different disciplines (history, Iberian studies, comparative literature), the articles cover a variety of fields from the modern to the contemporary world: religious history and the history of books, psychoanalysis, drama and literature. The contribution from Michel Espagne, whose research has been absolutely seminal for transferential studies, places the various articles in a broader perspective. This volume will thus assist inquiry into the pertinence and scope of using this theoretical tool in different fields of knowledge and the adoption of a dynamic, international and cross-cultural approach to the targets of research.
