Specialised in architecture, urban planning and landscape architecture, the Cahiers initially emerged out of architecture school labs in the 1970s. They are aimed at research communities concerned with international spatial transformations, whatever their scale. Enjoying an international scientific standing, the journal publishes articles in French and in English. Thirty-one issues, published by the Éditions du Patrimoine, will gradually be uploaded under the title Cahiers de la recherche architecturale et urbaine. This biannual journal, which is now supported by the Ministry of Culture, is becoming digital-only and changing its name to Les Cahiers de la recherche architecturale, urbaine et paysagère. It is launching its site by making one issue available in full open access.
