Palethnologie is the first bilingual (French and English) digital-only journal of archaeology. Its purpose is to promote a sociocultural approach to the communities of the past (palaeoenvironment, archaeozoology, analysis of archaeological artefacts, etc.), above and beyond the material dimension of archaeological vestiges. The journal is open to all approaches: monograph-type documentary corpuses and methodological, historiographic or epistemological reflections. Created in 2009 and published since 2015 by the Presses universitaires du Midi, it releases an annual themed issue. Palethnologie is joining OpenEdition Journals with its three latest issues in full open access.
