Created in 1992, Tangence is a Quebec-based journal of literary studies that focuses on the links that literature may have with other disciplines: the arts, philosophy, humanities, the exact sciences. Distinguished by its varied thematic dossiers focused on distinct periods, it often offers a dialogue between specialists of different eras on a common topic. Tangence is also characterised by its international outlook and encourages exchanges within the French-language community, between Europe and Canada. Published by Université du Québec à Rimouski and Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, this quarterly journal is inaugurating its site with six issues, including four in full open access.
