The East African Review

Created in 1996, The East African Review covers a variety of issues relating to the contemporary societies of East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo). Research is conducted principally in the fields of sociology, geography, history, anthropology, urban planning and political science. The languages of publication are French and English. Published annually by the Institut français de recherche en Afrique (IFRA) in Nairobi, Kenya, the journal is inaugurating its site on OpenEdition with its fifteen latest issues available in full open access.
