Commonwealth Essays and Studies

Created in 1975, Commonwealth Essays and Studies analyses – through articles, interviews and book reviews – literary works hailing from or relating to the Commonwealth. Its anchoring in the French language enables the journal to broach a critique of postcolonial anglophone literature and to thereby bridge French- and English-language studies. Over the last few years, Commonwealth Essays and Studies has considered research on the effects of globalisation in anglophone literature. Published entirely in English by the Société d’Études des Pays du Commonwealth (SEPC), this biannual journal is joining OpenEdition with its three latest issues available in full open access.
