Archaeonautica

Created in 1977, Archaeonautica publishes research on submarine and subaquatic archaeology, whether French or international, from prehistory to the nineteenth century. The journal publishes the results of wreck excavations and more specific studies on naval and port-related archaeology. The different aspects of economic and maritime history, and mindsets, are also explored through the analysis of literary, iconographic and technical sources. Issues from 1977 to 2015 are available on Persée. Published annually by CNRS Éditions, Archaeonautica is joining OpenEdition with its two latest issues available in full open access.
