Quarterly journal Historia Crítica was created in 1989 by the College of Social Sciences at the University of the Andes in Colombia. Its mission is to publish original articles in Spanish, English, and Portuguese on history and the humanities and social sciences to explain past and current social, political, economic, and cultural environments. It does so by contributing to historical research and academic examinations and publishing up-to-date reports that help shape dialog in the national and international academic community. Each issue contains four sections: an editorial, an exposition on a special topic, an article on the topic, and a section on miscellanea. Historia Crítica is joining OpenEdition Journals, as well as launching its website, with access to its four latest issues.
