Transbordeur. Photographie histoire société
Founded in 2017, Transbordeur is a French journal on the history of photography, published by Association Transbordeur and Éditions Macula. The journal’s mission is to highlight the role of photography in society and analyze how it has fundamentally changed our relationship with the world, from the nineteenth century to today. Transbordeur presents current research on images and their history, technical evolution, relationship with time and history, and circulation, and on visual phenomena in general. It is published annually, with each issue featuring a section on a specific theme, a Collections section, miscellaneous articles, and reading notes. Transbordeur is joining OpenEdition Journals with open access to three issues.
