Founded in 2017 and published by the non-profit organization Recherche en vue(s) since 2022, Revue française des méthodes visuelles is an annual international transdisciplinary journal. The Miscellanea, Interview, Perspectives, and Alternatives sections feature research focused on the production of images and sounds that can be used as investigative tools alongside other investigation techniques. Still and animated images are not only analyzed. They are also treated as an entirely separate means of observation and inquiry. Revue française des méthodes visuelles is joining OpenEdition Journals with its three latest issues, as well as a complete special issue.
