1After a long introduction on the Russian history and the intentions of the Russian empire and the soviet system, the author describes the penetration of Russia in the Central Asia and the end of it. According to him the Russians tried to reach Persian Gulf through Iran. Russian influence in Iran and among the Iranian clergy and the conflicts with the Americans prior to the first world war and after the second world war are also mentioned in this book. The author also describes the Russian influence in the Afghanistan’s administration and political system. Parts of the book are devoted to the ethnic characteristics of Afghanistan and the formation of political parties in this country.
