1Cette étude offre un survol de l’idée de destin historique des Tadjiks, telle qu’elle a été traitée successivement par l’historien russe Wilhelm Barthold puis par l’idéologue et historien tadjik Boboǧon Ġafurov. L’A. aborde ensuite les relectures dont leur œuvre respective fait actuellement l’objet, dans le contexte radicalement neuf créé par la fin du système soviétique.
