1Cet article traitant des ‘symboles royaux et religieux sur les monnaies sassanides’, principalement du IIIe s., est une version mise à jour du texte de la communication. Entretemps l’A. a publié ailleurs des textes assez analogues. Cet article reflète les interprétations qui ont cours actuellement au sujet des symboles sur ce monnayage et est agrémenté de quelques idées nouvelles. L’accent est mis sur des interprétations irano-iraniennes et sur le fort impact que la religion zoroastrienne exerce sur l’iconographie monétaire.
