1Le site de Tẹ̄l ʿĒṭōn/Tell ʿĒṭūn, localisé dans la plaine de la Shéphélah à 3 km au nord de Tell Beit Mirsim, avait une importance certaine à l’époque achéménide (c.r. Faust/Katz, Tel Aviv 39, 2012). Cette époque est représentée par des structures sur « l’acropole » (Area A), par des puits dans l’area C plus au nord et par de la céramique. Même si l’habitation est encore marquée par la destruction des Assyriens, ce site semble avoir été un site pivot parmi les 41 que les A. ont repérés dans la Shéphélah achéménide tardive.
