It is understood that all manuscripts submitted for publication in Les Carnets de l’ACoSt represent original scholarship. The author agrees to the exclusivity of the submitted manuscript by Les Carnets de l’ACoSt until notice of its acceptance by the Publication Committee.
Upon receipt of the manuscript and all supporting documentation, the submission will be assigned to two members of the Editorial Advisory Board. In addition, an external reviewer also may be called in.
When a submission is accepted for publication, the author(s) will agree to not publish any part of the submitted manuscript without prior approval of the Publishing Committee. Manuscripts, CDs and DVDs pertaining to unsuccessful submissions will not be returned.
Les Carnets de l’ACoSt follows the same citation rules as a print journal.
All submissions posted on the website of Les Carnets de l’ACoSt are subject to the same copyright laws that apply to print journals.
Guidelines
Essential information about the author

Name, institutional affiliation, if any, preferred address, email, and telephone.
Form of the manuscript
-
Electronic submission to the Chief Secretary, by e-mail or file server: original text, copyright free.

Original images, royalty free, with credits or sources for the illustrations.

All files must be electronically delivered to the Editorial Secretary via email, drop-box, or other file transfer services. Authors must send all files, in doc for text ; .xls for tables ; .ai for maps ; .jpg for photographs (> / = 300dpi).

A version of the text in .pdf format is required to ensure that the illustrations are in their proper place.

Text

The text must be in the font Times, regular, 12 pt., with the line set at single spacing.

Italics are reserved for foreign words not in common usage and for ancient languages. The words amphora, polos temenos, pelike, etc. are in common usage and are never italicized.

Short quotations between "..." are placed within the same line.
-
Long quotations between "..." are placed on a new line without indentation, but in the same font and style.
-
The title and subtitles are to be in the same font and style with continuous numbering.

Footnote indications in the text are to be in Arabic numerals with continuous, automatic numbering.

Page down notes in Times 10.
Bibliography
-
References for the bibliography must include in the following order: the author’s (authors’) last name(s), first initial, Date of publication, Title, Place of publication: Publisher.

In the case of articles or sections in a book include the page numbers.
Example (book): Bencze, A. 2013. Physionomie d’une cité grecque. Développements stylistiques de la coroplathie votive archaïque de Tarente. Collection du Centre Jean Bérard, 41. Naples : Centre Jean Bérard.

Citations

Les Carnets de l’ACoSt does not use in-text citations. All references are to be in footnotes.

The footnotes use only the author’s last name, the date of the publication, and the page numbers, p. XX-XX. Do not use ff. or f. Page references must be inclusive.
Example : Bencze 2013, 14-26.
Illustrations
-
Do not embed documents (graphs, maps, tables and images) in the text.

Put in your text the location of all tables, figures, illustrations, etc. and send a printed version of this text with illustrations together with a CD with all the files.

Illustrations MUST be provided in JPEG format at 300 dpi minimum.

Only images files that have the proper permissions for reproduction will be accepted. The author assumes the responsibility of obtaining those permissions. The copyright will be held by the author or the affiliated research institution.
