About the journal

Anglophonia (Caliban/Sigma) was created in 1997 following the fusion of Sigma and Caliban. It is divided into two main fields of study, published alternately. In 2014, the two journals regained their independence under the titles Anglophonia and Caliban.

The first of the journal’s two annual issues, Anglophonia/Caliban is dedicated to the literatures and civilizations of English-speaking countries. It is a thematic issue focused on recent research, offering especially young academics an opportunity to share their work.

Anglophonia/Sigma, the second annual issue, is the oldest French journal entirely dedicated to English linguistics. It includes works from all linguistic schools, and might interest anyone whose field of study is linguistics applied to the English language, particularly doctoral students and candidates for the English agrégation.
