Aim and Scope
The aim of the e-journal Activités is to publish high quality peer review articles focused on activity at work for the analysis, the intervention and the design of work situations and devices.
The notion of activity has been developed for about 50 years. It has led to the development of a number of researches and has contributed to frame contribution to design processes and to field interventions. Simultaneously, activity theories have expanded in different directions within different disciplines and different communities all over the world, while situated approaches of action and cognition, workplace studies and practice based approaches have been increasingly discussed.
Activités is devoted to interdisciplinary debates between these theoretical and methodological frameworks and publish papers which highlight such frameworks and their contributions to intervention, change and design, regarding whether well-being, occupational health, efficiency, safety, reliability, developmental and learning processes or other relevant issues for workplace studies.
