About the journal
Annales de Didactique et de Sciences Cognitives is an annual journal founded in 1988 by R. Duval and F. Pluvinage, currently under the responsibility of P. R. Richard and L. Vivier.
It is an international journal dedicated to the dissemination of research in mathematics education and related fields. It is a reference journal on research in mathematics teaching and learning. Articles are written mainly in French, but may also be published in Spanish or English.
The journal is listed in the following databases: the European database ERIH, the French database of HCERES, MathEducDataBase, Googlescholar, which values for authors the publication of an article in the Annales. The articles are freely available on the Annales de didactique et de sciences cognitives website as well as on the OpenEdition Journals website as soon as they are published, without embargo.
The journal is open to all types of research and articles may be: theoretical in nature and closely related to experimentation in the context of teaching; report of teaching experience based on an explicit theoretical framework; syntheses of research conducted in a particular field of mathematics education; book review of scientific works in the field. The articles may concern all educational frame in various socio-cultural contexts and there is an interest for initial and in-service teacher training.
In addition to the publication of the annual issue, the journal offers the possibility of publishing a special issue on the basis of a clearly formulated project.
This journal is mainly aimed at researchers in mathematics education. It will also be of interest to teacher trainers who wish to support their training in mathematics education research.
