Presentation

Since 1993, the phenomenological journal Alter gathers every year, around a given theme, different contributions that deepen, question and develop the contemporary phenomenological reflection. Rather than aiming to be a collection of historical studies that would only seek doctrinal precision, the review tests the fertility of phenomenology while prefering exploratory essays to conservatory studies. Aware of the fact that phenomenology is first of all the name of a problem, Alter dismisses any supposed orthodoxy, in order to be able to welcome the whole diversity of phenomenological practices.
