Reception of articles and peer-review procedure
Peer-review procedure
América’s restricted editorial team receives articles from CRICCAL’s work or thematic dossiers proposed by researchers interested in the journal’s approaches and format. It first verifies, with the assistance of the members of the editorial board, the admissibility of the articles based on their compliance with the journal’s editorial standards. The articles are submitted to the Compilatio.net plagiarism checker and then sent to two peers, either external or members of the scientific committee, for double-blind review. Upon receipt of the evaluations:
-
If both reports are favorable, the article is approved by the editorial board.
-
If both experts request substantial changes, the article, once the changes have been made, is approved by the editorial board.
-
If both experts receive negative reviews, the article is not published.
-
In the event of a significant divergence of opinion between the two experts, the editorial board requests a report from a third expert.
Authors receive an email informing them that their article has been accepted, or accepted subject to corrections, or rejected. In the latter case, authors are free to submit their article to another journal.
