Aims and Scope
Anatolia Antiqua is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal of Anatolian archaeology published annually by the IFEA since 1988. The journal publishes works by specialists in various fields of Anatolian archaeology, covering a wide range from prehistory to the Medieval Period in its broadest sense. The journal is divided into two sections: the first section comprises review articles on the subject, while the second section titled "Chronicles of Archaeological Work in Turkey" focuses on excavation reports and archaeological studies conducted in Turkey and its neighbouring regions. Anatolia Antiqua publishes articles in either French or English.
The aim of Anatolia Antiqua is twofold. A large part of the journal is devoted to the publication of peer-reviewed research articles, syntheses, and analyses exploring a wide range of topics focusing on Anatolian archaeology. Secondly, it allows the dissemination of new data through the rapid publication of preliminary reports on excavations and surveys, particularly the annual results of the French excavations conducted in Turkey.
Anatolia Antiqua employs a double-blind peer review process. All articles in the journal are open-access and published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
All manuscripts are subject to editorial review. When preparing a manuscript, it is important to review the editorial guidelines. For full details, please visit the Editorial Guidelines page.
The printed version of Anatolia Antiqua is distributed by Ege Yayınları in Turkey and the rest of the world.
