Enjeux de la conservation-restauration de terrain en Asie centrale
Abstracts
The goals and issues of field conservation and restoration within French archaeological missions in Central Asia are presented through work examples from Ulug depe and Gonur depe sites (Turkmenistan). The aims of field conservation are not only to ensure conservation of archaeological objects, but also to reveal archaeological information, to enable their readability, their study and display. Meanwhile it is necessary to train local staff and to establish conservation laboratories to overcome the lack of infrastructures and skilled staff in conservation sciences in Central Asia.
