About the ASSR
A peer-reviewed journal (Editorial Board), Archives de sciences sociales des religions publishes a bibliographical bulletin in January, and in April, June and November thematic/varia issues. In order to submit an article, please follow our guidelines. The journal publishes articles reflecting the most advanced research in this field, both in France and abroad, in French, English, and Spanish.
The journal has three main goals:
to promote a comparative perspective, extended to all religions, and all cultural areas ;
to encourage cooperation of all social sciences for the purpose of informing about the multifaceted religious phenomenon;
to emphasize the presentation of methodological and theoretical reflections on the objects of research.
The journal is published in collaboration with the Centre d'études en sciences sociales du religieux (EHESS-CNRS), the Groupe Sociétés, Religions, Laïcités (EPHE-CNRS), the Centre d'Études de l'Inde et de l'Asie du Sud (EHESS-CNRS), the Centre d'Anthropologie Sociale (LISST-CNRS, Université de Toulouse II-Le Mirail). The journal is supported by the Institut des Sciences Humaines et Sociales (CNRS).
