Archive Practices: Construction, Modelling, Manipulation
Edited by Christine Jungen and Candice Raymond

How are documents constituted in archives? How does modelling condition their preliminary properties? What sensorial, emotional and illustrative qualities are produced or brought to bear for this purpose? This survey considers archives as artefacts whose material trajectories, “careers”, manipulations and metamorphoses should be questioned. By exploring the production and development of documentary materials that attest to history, we will also examine the ramifications of the “archives” category, as well as how material supports of the truth are modelled in the context of biographical, academic or memory practices.
