About the journal
Bergsoniana is a philosophical journal dedicated to the philosophy of Henri Bergson (1859-1941), its global dissemination, its historical revivals, and as a perspective on contemporary problems.
As the reference publication of the Société des amis de Bergson, the journal represents a new milestone after the Annales bergsoniennes series (nine volumes published between 2002 and 2020). It aims to bring to the forefront new readings of Bergson and to address new philosophical challenges thanks to a renewed, international scientificboard. The move towards open access is consistent with the aim to better address the publication's dissemination requirements and with the activities of the society's members, represented in over twenty countries. In addition to the free digital version, a paper version of the journal is available as a print-on-demand publication. You can order the first issue here.
Bergsoniana is published with the support of the University Research School Translitteræ (Programme "Investissements d'avenir" ANR-10-IDEX-0001-02 PSL and ANR-17-EURE-0025)
Code of Ethics and Publication Policy:
Bergsoniana is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access. The authors retain the copyright of their articles.
Authors must ensure that the submitted article has not been plagiarised, in whole or in part. They must also ensure that the submitted article is original, that it is not, in whole or in part, a republication of the author's previous work and that it does not contain fraudulent data.
They are also responsible for verifying that all copyrighted documents contained in the article have been authorised for publication and that documents for which the author does not personally hold the copyright have not been reproduced without authorisation.
Finally, authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere.
The members of the editorial board ensure the control and safeguarding of the ethics of publication. This includes a strict policy on plagiarism and fraudulent data, a firm commitment to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when necessary, and a strict prohibition on compromising intellectual and ethical standards for commercial gain.
Whenever it has been recognised that a published article contains a significant inaccuracy, a misleading statement or a distorted report, it will be corrected quickly. If, after a proper investigation, an article is found to be fraudulent, it will be retracted. The retraction will be clearly identified by readers and indexing systems.
Thematic issues are supervised by the editor-in-chief, and articles from special issues are subject to the same editorial process as regular articles.

Evaluation policy
Evaluation procedure: double-blind evaluation by two independent evaluators.
Average time between submission and publication: 20 weeks
The editors of the journal are responsible for all work published in Bergsoniana. The journal maintains the integrity of published papers and guarantees the long-term preservation of all published content.
The editors of Bergsoniana make their decisions regarding submissions to the journal and published work based solely on their academic merit and take full responsibility for their decisions.
The author and reviewer remain anonymous throughout the blind review process. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in their respective fields.
Reviewers are responsible for being objective in their judgements, for having no conflict of interest with the research, the authors and/or the research funders, for pointing out relevant published work that is not yet cited by the authors and for treating the articles reviewed confidentially.
The percentage of published research articles in which the author (or one of the authors) is a member of the editorial board or an evaluator must not exceed 25% in the last two published issues.
