Instructions to authors

Submission guidelines

Please send your submissions to amisdebergson@gmail.com

  • The journal accepts unsolicited submissions

  • The work submitted must not have been published before or be under consideration anywhere else. In the case of multiple authors, the publication must be approved by all co-authors. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere and must include evidence that such permission has been obtained.

  • On the first page of your article, please include only the following information:

    • The name(s) of the author(s)

    • A concise and informative title

    • The affiliation(s) of the author(s), i.e. institution, department, city, country

    • Email address

    • (Optional) Acknowledgements

  • Please also include:

    • Two abstracts of approximately 150 words (one in English and one in French)

    • Between 5 and 10 key words (in English and in French)

  • The final article should be between 25 000- and 40 000-characters including spaces

  • Please send your documents in docx format

General style guidelines

  • The document should be justified

  • No indent at the beginning of paragraphs

  • 1.5 spacing (1 for footnotes)

  • Times New Roman 12pt font (10pt for footnotes)

  • Abbreviations should be defined at first mention and used consistently thereafter.

Citations

  • Please put citations in double quotation marks

  • In the case of longer citations, please insert them as a separate paragraph with a space before and after the citation. In that case, do not use quotation marks, but include a right indentation of 1 cm

  • Ellipses in citations should be indicated by square brackets (“Bergson’s thought on space, […], relies on…”)

References and bibliography

  • Please include references using the Chicago Manual of Style author-date citation method. Please also include a full bibliography at the end of your submission. For examples and further information, we ask our authors to follow the guidelines in the 17th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style available here.

  • We recommend you use bibliographical software such as Zotero or EndNote
