Présentation
Founded in 1898, the « Bulletin Hispanique » is published by the Presses Universitaires de Bordeaux. Brought out twice yearly, the journal includes reviews of works, as well as a list of books sent. Widely open on the Iberic and Ibero-American spaces, without any distinction in era, domains or methodology, the articles are written in Spanish and French, and also in one of the languages of the Iberic peninsula. The journal is referenced by HCERES, ERIH, SCOPUS and WOS-AHCI.

Cervantes y los perros del “Coloquio”: una cinología de la fábula
Just as much as the pairing of Sancho Panza and Alonso Quijano, the bond between Scipion and Berganza possesses a unique iconic power rooted in the socio-historical world around them. In this sense, the present scholarly work aims to ultimately understand the short story commonly known as “The Dialogue of the Dogs.” To this end, this issue of the journal seeks to understand what reasons led Cervantes to elevate two animals—two dogs—to the status of protagonists in his twelfth exemplary novel. We will thus ask whether the famous “Dialogue” is indeed a picaresque tale, and how its historical and parodic density should be interpreted. Should we not, in short, examine the various aspects of this “dream” of Cervantes’s, the aspects that probably make it a rigorously literary text?
