Échanges et transformations : le Moyen Âge, la Renaissance et leurs réécritures contemporaines
This volume focuses on Medieval and Early Modern culture and how it circulates both in England and across national borders. By means of adoption, adaptation, translation and appropriation, themes, motifs and ideas mutate over time, and discourses and images reappear in the modern period, are adapted to fit new contexts and migrate to new artistic forms such as opera, cinema and comic strip. The essays in this issue demonstrate the range and fruitfulness of exchanges across cultures, periods and art forms. I. The Circulation of Ideas II. Metamorphoses of the Drama: Medieval and Renaissance Theatre III. Contemporary Reworkings
