Presentation
The journal Cahiers du Centre d’Études Chypriotes publishes scientific articles in English, French, German, Greek and Italian, as well as reviews of books received. It focusses on Cypriot history and civilisation, without chronological limit (from origins to contemporary times). It covers the entire scientific field of the humanities, with a predilection for history, archaeology and historiography.
It is published annually in a single issue, both in paper and digital format. Most of the volumes include thematic dossiers (sometimes the proceedings of conferences co-organised by the Centre) and articles on various topics.
It is the only international journal specialised in the history and civilisation of Cyprus, without disciplinary or chronological limits.
It is co-edited by the Centre d’Études Chypriotes and by the French School at Athens (since volume 50, 2020).
Volumes no. 1 to 46 (from 1984 to 2016) are freely accessible on the Persée portal.
The journal Cahiers du Centre d’Études Chypriotes adheres to the principles of Open Access defined by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ): all published articles are accessible immediately and free of charge. There are no subscription fees for readers, nor any submission or publication fees for authors.
