The launch of the journal CRITIQUE D’ART in 1993 was in response to a demand expressed by art professionals, book industry professionals, and a public eager for guidance amid a growing flood of publications.
From the very beginning, a large number of French and European arts and cultural organizations, publishers, and booksellers demonstrated their commitment to this endeavor by subscribing to CRITIQUE D’ART. Today, they remain partners who, through their subscription to the journal, underscore the importance of information and critical reflection on contemporary art books.
