Marie Tchernia-Blanchard succeeds Antje Kramer-Mallordy as director of the Archives de la critique d'art. She is a lecturer in contemporary art history at Rennes 2 University and a member of the "History and Criticism of the Arts" research group (EA 1279). Previously, she was a research fellow at the Institut national d'histoire de l'art, a research fellow of the Fondation Carasso at the Ecole du Louvre, and worked for the international chair in cultural history of artistic heritage in Europe at the Collège de France. Her research focuses on the history of exhibitions and the various forms of art historical writing in the 20th century. She is the author of Dans l’Œil d'un chasseur : Charles Sterling, historien de l’art (Les presses du réel, 2022).
Scientific coordination

Maria Stavrinaki is Associate Professor at the University of Lausanne, where she teaches contemporary art history. She has been a visiting professor at New York University and Columbia University, and has been a member of the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton), the Clark Art Institute and the Italian Academy for Advanced Study (Columbia University). She works on the temporalities of art and conceptions of history, as well as on art's relationship with the Humanities and political thought over the past two centuries. Recent works include the special issue "Writing Prehistory" for Res: Journal of Anthropology and Aesthetics, as well as the books Dada Presentism: An Essay on Art and History (Stanford University Press, 2016), Le Sujet et son milieu : huit essais sur les avant-gardes allemandes (Mamco, 2018), Contraindre à la liberté : Carl Einstein, les avant-gardes, l’histoire (Centre allemand d’histoire de l’art, 2017, 2017) or Saisis par la préhistoire : enquête sur l'art et le temps des modernes (Les presses du réel, 2019, trans. in English by Zone Books, New York, 2022). She co-curated the exhibition Préhistoire presented at the Centre Pompidou (May-September 2019) and is currently preparing an exhibition on the atomic age (MAM, 2024-2025), as well as on the impact of Malraux's Musée Imaginaire on artists of the 1950s-1960s.

Dr. Sylvie Mokhtari is in charge of multi-media publishing (IGR) at Rennes 2 University and has been editor-in-chief of CRITIQUE D'ART, published by Archives de la critique d'art, since 1993. A specialist in avant-garde magazines of the 1960s-1970s, she has worked on the editorial experiments of European and North American conceptual artists in the format of magazines such as Interfunktionen and Avalanche. Among other works, she has compiled a critical anthology of François Pluchart's writings, L'Art : un acte de participation au monde (Nîmes: Jacqueline Chambon, 2002), and collaborated on books such as Vito Hannibal Acconci Studio (Barcelona: MACBA, 2004) and Les Bibliothèques d'artistes (XXe-XXIe siècles) (Paris: PUPS, 2010). She is a regular contributor to publications on performance, artists' writings and critical trajectories.
