Arabian Humanities

Arabian Humanities is a journal published by the French Center of Archaeology and Social Sciences (CEFAS), renamed French Research Centre of the Arabian Peninsula (Centre français de recherche de la péninsule Arabique, CEFREPA).

It is the continuation of the earlier Chroniques yéménites journal, that promoted researches led by the CEFAS between 1993 and 2013. While ensuring access to the Chroniques yéménites, it broadens its scope to the entire Arabian Peninsula, and is now resolutely oriented towards international research networks.

Arabian Humanities is a peer-reviewed journal. It is multilingual (articles published in French, English or Arabic, with specific editing), and covers, through biennial issues, all areas of the humanities from prehistory to contemporary societies in the Arabian Peninsula.

Built around a specific theme, each issue also includes free contributions and book reviews on the latest publications on the Arabian Peninsula appearing in European languages and Arabic.

The journal is published with the support of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (InSHS) of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS).
