Mobilier céramique et faciès culturel de l’habitat gaulois de l’Île de Martigues
Abstracts
Ceramic material and cultural assemblages from the Gallic site on the l’Île of Martigues. This article presents the analysis of all of the ceramic material from ancient levels of the habitations in the first Gallic village in Martigues, which is dated to 440 BC to 190 BC. The well stratified deposits, and a precise chronological window on the period under study (440 to 360 BC), favours a quantified study of the evolution of this assemblage. Two burnt levels provied well preserved, in situ material. The second of these layers is particulary well preserved, and allows us to adopt an ethnographic approach to the study of space through the contextualisation of the objects and their spatial distribution.
