The Scientific Board

The Scientific Board serves as the journal's intellectual guarantee but has no operating responsibility. Its members come from various backgrounds and institutions in educational research. They are the gatekeepers of the editorial line and participate, when necessary, in reviewing and approving contributions published by the journal. The editor-in-chief maintains constant communication with scientific board members and ensures that each individual contributes according to their availability and desired level of involvement.

Specifically, the Scientific Board has two distinct functions:

  • Supporting and assisting the Editorial Board in planning the thematic dossiers and sections.

  • Depending on their expertise, the Editorial Board may ask members of the Scientific Board to approve calls for contributions to thematic issues, evaluate an article or abstract when necessary, coordinate a thematic issue, contribute to an issue or a section, and suggest authors for issues or sections.

The Editorial Board

The Editorial Board is the journal's operational team. Led by the editor-in-chief, it makes key decisions regarding the journal’s main themes, thematic dossiers and sections, potential coordinators, article evaluators, and article publication. The board meets several times a year to discuss the journal’s strategy and debate input for the dossiers and sections. Additionally, its members may take responsibility for a section, suggest authors for features and sections, and proofread submitted articles for their opinions.

A small editorial team, consisting of the editor-in-chief, two editorial secretaries, and the publishing secretary, is responsible for the technical follow-up and production of issues, from publishing the call for contributions to releasing the articles.
