See the section “Guide for authors.”
Reviewing Process
Unsolicited contributions, as well as the conference papers which the journal publishes as proceedings, undergo two anonymous reviews by the members of the review panel, by the members of the editorial board or by external reviewers.
To be published, unsolicited contributions and conference papers must be accepted for publication by both reviewers.
In the case of rejection, the reviewers’ reports will be communicated anonymously to the authors.
The authors may, once suggested revisions made, submit their contribution one last time. The decision of the third review is, in this case, final.
Reviewing Criteria
The reviewers evaluate the contribution with a review template (see annexed documents):
-
the value of the scientific impact represented by the contribution
-
the knowledge demonstrated by a recent critical bibliography
-
its acceptability according to the intellectual and formal demands of scholarly production
-
the correctness, accuracy and clarity of the written expression
In addition, the study must correspond to the general topic of the journal and especially – unless the approach is comparative – to the geographic and temporal limits of its concentration.
No discipline is, however, excluded from e-Spania, whose scientific policy privileges interdisciplinarity.
