Swift/Le je(u) de l'émotion

Colloque de la SEAC Nice, novembre 2010

This volume is essentially devoted to Graham Swift’s works, even if it provides an excursion towards three other British authors. The selected articles in this issue demonstrate that, a far cry from Fredric Jameson’s vision of postmodernism as characterised by a “waning of affect”, Swift’s fiction (and, beyond, a fair share of contemporary production) explores the fiction’s poetic, aesthetic and generic potential to reconfigure novelistic expressiveness.
