Études de communication is an international French-speaking peer-reviewed journal in information and communication sciences. It operates on the basis of a "double-blind reviewing process" evaluation of all proposals received.

The journal is distributed in both paper and electronic versions. It hosts works in various fields, including: media analysis, cultural mediation, mediation and mediatization of knowledge, cultural industries, training and information industries, audiovisual communication, organizational communication, innovation processes, scientific and technical information, knowledge organization, analysis of technical devices in access to information and knowledge processing, document metamorphoses, analysis of uses and information practices.

Each issue has three sections: a thematic dossier, a Varias section which hosts articles "outside the theme" and a Readings section devoted to book reviews and reading notes.

The last two issues of the journal are available on the Cairn platform.

The journal's policy on publication dissemination and self-archiving is available on the Mir@bel portal.
