General Informations

The Enfances Families Generations (EFG) Journal only publishes original articles.

Submitted texts should not be under any form of peer review process by another journal. All manuscripts are subject to a preliminary evaluation by the Journal’s publishing team or the Publishing Committee for thematic issues. All submissions are subject to double-blind peer review by at least two experts in the field. The evaluation criteria include: interest and originality of the subject, the quality of the conceptual framework, the methodology and documentation used, quality of writing, and the structure of the article. The article evaluation grid is available for review in PDF format (French only).

The following publication rule apply to all issues:

  • Guest editors are only allowed to write the introduction for thematic issues. They may not publish an article in the same issue as an author or co-author

Summary articles focusing on knowledge transfer may be submitted by researchers or practitioners. These articles distinguish themselves from scientific articles by means of their approach which emphasizes on broad conclusions from the research and their implications for practice. Book Review

The book being subject to review must have been published less than 5 years ago. The journal provides a list of available books, though other new works may also be suggested. Translations of books are accepted as well as books published in a foreign language.

The book review must to be written in French.

The book review must situate the work in its disciplinary field, specify the general treatise of the book (theoretical framework and methodology, quality of the writing and originality of the approach), the intended readership and its contribution regarding current knowledge. In addition to providing a brief summary, it must also state the major contributions and limitations of the book.

To maintain the critical nature of these reports, authors should not be in a conflict of interest that could taint the integrity of their judgment (e.g. a book written by a colleague).

The book review must be between 7,000 and 10,000 characters, including spaces. Long quotations from the text are to be avoided, as are too many references to other works.

The Journal editorial team receives and evaluates all submitted texts. They may suggest, where appropriate, changes to be made. Reports accepted for publication will be posted on the Journal’s website. To fill the submission form for a Book Review :
