About the Revue

The Revue d’études benthamiennes is a peer-reviewed biannual periodical published under the editorship of the Centre Bentham since 2006. It publishes articles in French and in English, after they have been reviewed by independent experts. Since its creation, the REB has accompanied the renewal of Utilitarian studies in France. It focuses on classical utilitarianism and on contemporary Utilitarian studies. The REB seeks to promote scholarly research in all aspects of Utilitarian studies and is not restricted to one reading or interpretation. It hopes to provide a space for debate and reflection. It is international and pluridisciplinary, and welcomes articles from all disciplines in the humanities and social sciences (including, but not limited to Economics, British and American Studies, History, Law, Philosophy and Sociology)
