The Cahiers d’Études africaines is an international, interdisciplinary journal, published in French and English, founded in 1960 providing original contributions attesting to the latest research, theory, fieldwork and the discussions these elicit. The thematic issues become reference works on a region, an issue or the state of a discipline.
Notwithstanding our interdisciplinarity, the journal concentrates on an anthropological and historical approach to Africa, understood through all its extensions to the Caribbean, black America and throughout the world.
The Cahiers d’Études africaines is a quarterly journal, published by the Éditions de l’EHESS with the support of the Centre national de la recherche scientifique.
