La littérature autochtone (hagiographique et historiographique) des pays yougoslaves au Moyen Âge
Abstracts
The analysis of narrative texts belonging to the type called “dynastic hagio-biographies” reveals a lot in terms of political ideas. In this article, we offer a panorama of the various texts of Serbian indigenous literature from the Annals of the priest of Dioclea in the 10th c. and the hagio-biographies of Simeon Nemanja and Sava 1st to the royal genealogies and Annals of the Serbian kingdom towards the end of the 14th c. This situation is put into context by rapidly putting it in contrast with the feeble development of a Croatian literature in Slavic due to the influence of Latinity and finish with a brief summary of the examples of medieval literature found in Bosnia.
