Top of pageThe Global Development Network (GDN) is now accepting submissions for the 2009 Global Development Awards and Medals Competition. Finalists win a round trip to Prague, Czech Republic to attend GDN’s next annual conference where they get an opportunity to present their research before a distinguished jury for the final round and win cash prizes!
Submissions are being accepted under the following three categories:
Japanese Award for Outstanding Research on Development
For applicants who have outstanding new research proposals that add a unique dimension to research on any of the three themes listed below
First Prize: US $30,000; Second Prize: US $5,000
Medals for Research on Development
For excellent completed research papers on any of the three themes listed below
First Prize: US $10,000; Second prize: US $5,000

For exceptional on-going development projects that have given maximum benefit to local communities and need further financial assistance to scale-up the project

DEADLINE: AUGUST 24, 2009
Open only to researchers and organizations from developing and transition countries. Submissions are welcome from all disciplines of social sciences.
