1Artificial intelligence is increasingly emerging as a powerful accelerator of ecological transformation. Over the years, it has been used to manage water, waste, energy, air quality, resilience to natural disasters, urban agriculture, and more. Combined with our traditional tools, it can be a source of value creation, as it increases the operational efficiency of our interventions and allows us to imagine new services. It improves the decisions we make in normal times, and even more so in times of crisis. And each time, we ensure that the tools we use deliver benefits that outweigh their associated environmental footprint.

2As we navigate the questions AI raises for societies around the world, one thing is clear: no single company or institution has all the answers.
