Haut de pageCommitment to Open Access
Following l’appel de Jussieu and the Budapest Open Access Initiative, GLAD! is committed to a policy of total and immediate open access to scientific information. All original articles published in the journal are free of charge and open to access from the date of publication.
Free of charge article submission, publication and reading
The submission and proposal of articles are free, and the articles are also freely available for viewing. The journal therefore does not apply a "green" or "gold" model, and its content is immediately and permanently available. This is made possible by the financial support of the Cité du genre, the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme Paris-Nord, the University of Paris 13, the University of Lorraine, the University of Paris 3 - Sorbonne Nouvelle and the University of Paris 8, as well as on the voluntary work of the editorial board and the support of the scientific committee.
Deadline for publication
The average time to publication in GLAD! from first submission to publication is 6.5 months (28 weeks).
Publication statistics
On average, GLAD! receives 38 submissions per year, peer-reviews 16 manuscripts and publishes 8 to 10 articles per year. The percentage of published texts is therefore 24%. It should be noted that the publication rate may vary according to the publication of a thematic or varia issue.

Reviewing procedures
Submissions are double-blind peer-reviewed by two members of the scientific committee or, depending on the subjects, by two members of the scientific committee, who will make recommendation (refusal, acceptance with major modifications, acceptance with minor modifications or full acceptance) as well as comments justifying their decision and, if necessary, suggestions for improving articles. Reviewing criteria will focus on the originality, the interest of the research or approach, and the theoretical and empirical relevance of the work presented in relation to the journal's project. The formal quality of the work is taken into account, to a lesser extent. The quality of language is not a discriminating criterion at the reviewing stage as long as the article is clear and understandable both by worldwide native and non-native readers of French.
Peer reviewers are asked to formulate their review in a benevolent and constructive manner, according to the ethical charter that is made available to them.
Authors have the right to reply to comments on their contributions if they feel the need to do so.
The final decision on publication rests with the editorial board.

Copyright and publication rights
Authors who publish in the journal agree to accept these conditions. The rights of each article remain the property of the author concerned, who assigns to the journal the (non-exclusive) rights of publication.
A copy of the author's contract is available in the appendix.
Archiving policy
As a consequence of the non-exclusive transfer of the publication rights, authors keep the right to archive the post-print version of their work on their personal website or on archiving platforms such as HAL.
The journal encourages authors to favor open platforms such as HAL over private platforms such as Research Gate or Academia, where the content deposited on their site becomes the "exclusive property" of these platforms (see here and there for details).
In addition, the journal will comply with a perennial publication of its articles and its contents are annually archived by the BnF.
Index and deposit policy
Our archiving policy and our editorial policy are being deposited on Sherpa/Romeo (in progress).
The journal is also indexed by Mir@bel and Isidore.
Anti-plagiarism policy
GLAD! uses Compilatio.net anti-plagiarism software.
