The Journal

The Revue pour l’histoire du CNRS publishes work on the history of the CNRS and other French and foreign organisations. The journal particularly addresses the high points of their activities, problems encountered and questions answered. Historically the journal has focused greatly on science, but it is also concerned with the future, drawing attention to lesser known disciplines and to the CNRS’s own thoughts on society, to its choices, and to its involvement in the debates of its age. La Revue pour l’histoire du CNRS offers a focus for dialogue relating to the various disciplines of science, to their research and to their history, with the aim of gradually building up an overview of this history.

The Journal ceased publication in 2010 and is followed by Histoire de la recherche contemporaine.
