The journal's commitments

Open science and funding

The journal defends an open and free science for all readers. It commits to publish all articles in open access, made available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 4.0 International license, in order to promote the dissemination of research and scientific research results. It also encourages authors to publish the PDF versions of their articles in open science archives, in the context of our data sharing policy.

The journal publishes all issues via the OpenEdition platform, dedicated to open science, and follows its recommendations. Each article is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), guaranteeing the continuity and availability of the reference, regardless of the evolution of the journal's activities.

The journal is committed to charging no submission or publication fees to anyone who publishes in one of the issues, following an open science approach, according to the Diamond open access model.

Copyright

The journal is committed to respecting the copyright and intellectual property code with each author, by signing an author's agreement when the article is accepted for publication. This author's contract, available on the journal's website, follows an open science approach.

Furthermore, the journal undertakes, within the scope of the means at its disposal, to verify that the articles published do not infringe on the moral rights of the intellectual property of any other person or entity.

The journal undertakes to ensure that each author is associated with their article, whether in the HTML or PDF version. It guarantees that the information related to the authors is not used for any other purpose than the publication activities of the journal.

Peer-review process

The journal undertakes to establish a double-blind peer review for each article in the thematic files through the OJS editorial platform, using experts external to the editorial board. It is committed to respecting the anonymity of both authors and reviewers and ensures that ethical principles are applied for each evaluation.

Editorial work

The journal undertakes to accompany the coordinators, authors and reviewers throughout the editorial work, from the contribution proposal to the publication of the issue online. The journal provides the necessary information for each step in accordance with the editorial policy defended by the editorial board and with respect for each individual’s work.

The journal undertakes to preserve all the editorial work carried out through the Open Journal System (OJS). A final version of each article is also preserved in the journal’s external storage.

Publication

The journal undertakes to respect the publishing conditions established by Open Edition, which entails a ban on changing the contents of published articles.

The journal undertakes to organize discussions with the authors to consider any necessary correction before the publication of an issue.

The authors' commitments

Originality

The author guarantees that their proposed article is original, that it has not been previously published, either in print or on the Internet, in any language, and that it does not reproduce, either in part or in full, previously published or uncited works.

Furthermore, the author guarantees that their article does not infringe on the moral rights of the intellectual property of any other person or entity.

They agree not to submit the proposal simultaneously to any other journal or publisher.

Finally, the author guarantees that they are aware of all these indications, which must be explicitly accepted by them when submitting their article on the journal's submission platform.

Respect and scientific rigor

Authors guarantee that they have taken note of and respected the journal's editorial standards mentioned in the instructions for authors on the journal's website, in particular respect of the anonymity of the documents submitted to the OJS platform, without which the double-blind peer-review process cannot be initiated.

Authors guarantee that they will properly cite all publications used in their works. Submitted articles are systematically screened for plagiarism.

Authors ensure the relevance of the proposed translations (title, abstract, keywords).

Authors guarantee that their article proposals do not contain any defamatory, hateful or fraudulent statement.

Editorial work

Authors authorize the journal to make changes to their articles as part of the editorial process, and agree to provide approval for publication within a time frame that does not interfere with the journal's publication schedule.

Authors are encouraged to review their articles at the time of publication and to inform the journal of any changes that may be necessary in a timely manner, in accordance with the publishing conditions established with the editor.

Conflicts of interest

Authors declare to the journal's management any potential conflict of interest, whether professional, financial, or otherwise, that could be construed to have influenced their research and publications.

Funding

Authors undertake to explicitly mention in each article the funding they have received to carry out the research on which their publications are based.

Reviewers' commitments

Communication

Reviewers undertake to respect the deadlines agreed upon with the editorial team for their evaluation and to communicate any imponderable that could lead to a delay in the evaluation.

Impartiality of the peer-review process

Each submission is considered impartially and its merits are judged without regard to the authors’ gender, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnicity, seniority, or institutional affiliations.

Double-blind review ensures that article submissions are treated impartially and confidentially. If the anonymity of the authors is breached, the reviewer agrees to inform the journal and withdraw from the review process.

Scientific rigor

The reviewers commit to evaluate the articles submitted according to the journal's evaluation grid with the aim of scientific rigor and accuracy, based on precise argumentation and in a spirit of caring. They undertake to inform the journal if cases of plagiarism are or appear to be detected.

Respect of data

Reviewers agree to access the research data presented in the articles only in the context of the evaluation of the article and to maintain the confidentiality of this process. They agree not to disseminate or make public the data before publication without the consent of the author. They agree not to use the data in their own research or in a collective research project before publication, and to cite the source of the article after its publication.

Conflicts of interest

Reviewers declare to the journal's management any potential conflicts of interest, whether professional, financial, or otherwise, that could be construed as having influenced their reviews.

Acknowledgement of reviewers

The journal is committed to acknowledging individually each reviewer who has accepted to review one or more articles by systematically including them in the committee of experts published on the journal's website.
