Recommendations for authors
Outline
Top of pageLanguage and typography
The article must be unilingual, either in French, Dutch, English, German, Spanish or Italian.
Quotations in languages other than that of the article must be translated into the body of the text and included in their original version as footnotes.
The article must conform to all the typographical uses of the language in which it is written, with the exception of bibliographical references, which must respect the protocol detailed below under the heading "Bibliographical references".
The adoption of inclusive writing is left to the author's choice, as long as he/she applies his/her choices in a systematic manner.
Text and image format
The article must be submitted in text format (.docx or .odt). PDFs are not accepted.
If the article contains illustrations, tables, graphs and other figures, the files of these figures must be included in the text document, if possible in JPEG or TIFF format, with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. These files should be named and numbered according to the order in which they appear in the article (Fig. 1, etc.) The position of a figure in the article must always be between two paragraphs (a figure cannot be inserted within a paragraph). The caption, source and number of the illustration should be given in the space provided for the figure. If necessary, the In Monte Artium editorial team will contact the authors to ask them to send illustrations in the format required for editorial purposes.
Reference to illustrations, tables, graphs and other figures in the body of the text should indicated precisely by the words “see Figure 1”.
Illustrations and other figures must be accompanied by their exact references and comply with copyright and image rights requirements.
Audio or audiovisual files may also be included, provided they are hosed on an external website.
Summary, keywords, biography and contact details
Authors must include in the introduction to their article, in the text format file:
-
