IRPP Publishing Agreement

This is an agreement under which you, the author, assign copyright of your article to the International Review of Public Policy, International Public Policy Association to allow us to publish your article, including abstract, tables, figures, data and supplemental material, as the final version of your article in the journal for the full period of copyright throughout the world, in all forms and all media, subject to the terms & conditions below:

ARTICLE 1 DEFINITION

Your article is defined as comprising your accepted manuscript in its final form; the final article, the definitive and citable version, edited, designed and ready to be published, including the abstract, text, bibliography, and all accompanying tables, illustrations, data, and media; and any supplemental material hosted by the publisher.

ARTICLE 2 NON-EXCLUSIVE AUTHORIZATION TO PUBLISH THE ARTICLE GRANTED BY THE AUTHOR(S) TO THE PUBLISHER

You authorize the International Public Policy Association to publish the final version of the above-mentioned article in digital form (HMTL and PDF) on the journal's website https ://journals.openedition.org/irpp/, as well as in print, and to use all or part of this version to communicate by email, online on social networks and on the Journal's website, to announce the publication of the article in the journal and to promote it.

This authorization is granted to the International Association for Public Policy on a non-exclusive basis, free of charge, for all countries and in all languages, for the entire duration of the author's economic rights, including in the event of extension by French or European laws or by current and future international conventions.

You remain the owner of the copyright on the:

  • preprint, the version of the manuscript submitted by the author(s) to the Review and not yet validated.

  • postprint, version of the manuscript submitted by the author(s) including the modifications requested by the Reviewers' Committee and validated, before it is formatted for publication.

  • final version, under the conditions specified in article 4.

ARTICLE 3 COMMITMENTS OF THE REVIEW AND NON-EXCLUSIVE AUTHORIZATION TO USE THE FINAL VERSION GRANTED BY THE EDITOR TO THE AUTHOR(S)

If deemed acceptable by the editors, your article, after any revisions, will be prepared and published it in the International Review of Public Policy :

  • In digital form (notably in HTML and PDF) on the journal's website https ://journals.openedition.org/irpp/, fully open access under Creative Commons BY 4.0 license;

  • and in printed format, as long as the International Public Policy Association considers that publishing a paper copy of the IRPP Journal is useful for its visibility and for the visibility of its contributing authors.

We also undertake to identify you as the author of the article, and to make every effort to ensure that you are duly identified in any reuse and citation of the article, in particular through the metadata we develop.

Furthermore, as the copyright holders of the layout of the journal, we authorize you, free of charge, to reproduce and represent the FINAL VERSION of the article (as you hold the copyright on the text not yet laid out), on all present or future media, in all countries and in all languages, for the entire duration of the economic copyright, including in the event of extension by French or European laws or by current and future international conventions. We grant you this authorization on the mock-up, on a non-exclusive basis.

ARTICLE 4 RIGHTS RETAINED BY AUTHOR(S)

Because you grant us non-exclusive permission to publish your article in a mock-up version, i.e. in its final version, and because we grant you non-exclusive permission to use this final version of your article,
you are entitled to reproduce, represent and adapt the article as you see fit, in its preprint, postprint and final version, and in particular :

  1. To translate it or have it translated, to upload it on your personal website, or of your affiliate institution, to send it by email and share it with colleagues and other interested persons including on online social networks (including commercial academic social networks), to place it in an open archive, to present it or show all or part of it in a meeting or conference, to reproduce all or part of it in a thesis or dissertation;

  2. To make and distribute printed copies to the participants of a meeting or conference, to reproduce all or part of it in a personal compilation;

  3. We would be grateful if you could mention, as appropriate, that "The final version of this article has been published and is available in the International Review of Public Policy: https://journals.openedition.org/irpp/" or that "This chapter or book is derived from an article published in the International Review of Public Policy, date of publication, available online at https://journals.openedition.org/irpp/";

  4. We ask that you license the item under the Creative Commons CC BY4.0 license whenever you reproduce, re-present or modify the final version.

You are of course entitled to write a derivative version of the article, either in the form of a monograph or book chapter.

ARTICLE 5 WARRANTIES MADE BY YOU AS AN AUTHOR

You warrant that:

  1. All persons who have a reasonable claim to authorship are named in the article as co-authors including yourself; they will be requested to sign a publishing contract identical to this one.

  2. You have not submitted your article to any other journal or you have stopped the peer review process by this journal as soon as you have received confirmation that your article has been accepted for publication in the IRPP Journal ;

  1. Your article is an original work and does not infringe any intellectual property rights of any other person or entity and cannot be construed as plagiarizing any other published work, including your own published work.

  2. If the article contains parts of texts, sounds or illustrations, such as film photos, screenshots, musical scores, from other works, you have obtained the necessary written permission for publication, and have sent us a copy of this permission.

  3. The article does not include anything of a nature to engage the responsibility of the International Public Policy Association, you guarantee to the IPPA the full benefit of the assigned rights against any disturbances, claims and evictions whatsoever.

  4. You have mentioned, when sending your article, all sources of research funding, as required by the funder of your research, and have disclosed any potential conflict of interest arising from direct applications of your research.

  5. You confirm having read and agreed to comply with the rules of the International Review of Public Policy regarding its review policy and publication ethics.

ARTICLE 6 GOVERNING LAW

This agreement is subject to French law. Any dispute that may arise in relation to the interpretation or execution of this contract will be submitted, after an attempt at amicable settlement, to the competent French courts.
